Sunset Snorkel & Phosphorescent Bay Tour
La Parguera is a small fishing village on the Southwest corner of Puerto Rico and is part of the town of Lajas. The area is renowned for great snorkeling, diving, fishing and of course the bio-luminescent bay. Your trip will start with a guided snorkel tour at two snorkel spots. Then you will enjoy home-made chicken empanadillas and refreshments before heading out to the Bio-luminescent bay after the sun goes down. The luminescent effect in the bay is the result of a permanent population of tiny micro-organisms called Dinoflagellates. These animals produce a chemical spark of light when disturbed in the water. They can produce striking effects of green and white sparkles that can only be seen at night....and no, don't worry - it's not radioactive!

This trip includes a boat ride with time to snorkle picturesque reef in the clear blue water just before sunset. After the sun goes down, return to shore to enjoy homemade empanadillas and drinks. You'll then head out on a 20 minute boat ride to the phosphorescent bay when you can experience the luminescence for about 30 - 45 minutes. It's sure to be a one-of-a-kind experience and one you'll certainly not soon forget!
Things To Bring
Snorkel gear (included free of charge if needed), towel, swimsuit, sunscreen and a change of clothes for afterward.

Cancellation Policy
100% payment required upon booking of activity. If activity is cancelled outside of 7 days, activity is 100% refundable minus 5% booking fee. If activity is cancelled within 7 days it is 100% non-refundable. If activity is cancelled due to weather conditions or other outstanding cirucumstances and cannot be rescheduled, 100% refund will be given. Weather cancellations are determined strictly by the activity supplier.

It really depends on the child and the conditions – usually around 7 is the youngest, but they will do as young as 5 if the child is really comfortable in the water and the conditions are really favorable for easy surfing. Let us know and we’ll get you booked!
