Surf Lessons
These classes are perfect for the never-ever beginner surfer who needs some extra attention. You'll learn the basics of board handling, positioning, paddling, and all the techniques of how to get through waves. Plus, various standing up techniques, surfing etiquette, ocean knowledge, and water safety.
Instructors will work with you individually on your surfing technique to ensure that you learn to surf the right way, without creating Âbad habitsÂ. You start off on the sand to get all your techniques coordinated and once you have all that under control you hit the waters! Instructors will be with you ALL the time so you always feel safe.
All instructors are experienced local surfers who understand the waters and are bi-lingual and CPR certified. Group lessons are limited to a maximum of three students per instructor to ensure safety at all times.

Please note that all online bookings are not fully confirmed until you receive a confirmation e-mail and phone call from a Rincon Vacations representative. Some tours require minimum persons in order to operate, in which case your tour is not confirmed until these minimums are met. Dates of tour will be confirmed by phone call from Rincon Vacations and after booking is fully confirmed you will receive a detailed email including directions to the location of your tour. All online bookings are subject to 7% IVU tax and 5% booking fee.

Rincon is perhaps best known as a surfer's haven, after being discovered by the world following the 1968 World Surfing Championships. Rincon offers a variety of breaks with different waves suited for any learning curve or style. Catch an easy longboard wave at Maria's or rip it on your shortboard at Dome's. Surfing season in Rincon lasts from Dec - April, but you can occasionally catch some small swells in the summer or fall.

Cancellation Policy
100% payment required upon booking of activity. If activity is cancelled outside of 7 days, activity is 100% refundable minus 5% booking fee. If activity is cancelled within 7 days it is 100% non-refundable. If activity is cancelled due to weather conditions or other outstanding cirucumstances and cannot be rescheduled, 100% refund will be given. Weather cancellations are determined strictly by the activity supplier.

It really depends on the child and the conditions – usually around 7 is the youngest, but they will do as young as 5 if the child is really comfortable in the water and the conditions are really favorable for easy surfing. Let us know and we’ll get you booked!
