Aguada Puerto Rico is located just North of Rincon and may be one of the best kept secrets in the area. With beaches of equal quality, fewer crowds and often lower prices, Aguada is a little jewel that the local’s like to keep to themselves. If you want to venture of out of Rincon for an evening, try dining at one of our favorites: Guayabo’s Tropical Sunset Restaurant. Located right on the water, with beautiful views, a friendly casual atmosphere and traditional Puerto Rican food that is a cut above the rest, Guayabo’s is a must-see in Rincon. Nearby, you’ll also find Tapatio Mexican and Les Delices Deli, both great options for a casual lunch. For lodging in Aguada, seek out Mares Guesthouse and Restaurant, a chic small in with South Beach flair or Hotel Colombus. Mares also borders 4 Aces Club a hot nightspot for young locals in Aguada and Rincon.
The Pico de Piedras public beach in Aguada offers a large flat sandy beach great for volleyball or beach soccer, and the sand extends all the way South to Rincon, hitting the Rincon border near Casa Islena Restaurant and Inn. Downtown Aguada Puerto Rico is packed with small shops and boutiques, offering everything from shoes to prom dresses to local souvenirs. The plaza in downtown Aguada is quintessential Puerto Rico with an impressive Catholic church standing watch over all of the people.
