Eco-Adventure Puerto Rico: Ziplining & More
If you really want to experience all that Puerto Rico has to offer, we encourage tearing yourself away from the beach in Rincon for a day and visiting the area known as ‘Batey del Cemí’, near the town of Utuado, for a Puerto Rico eco-adventure tour. Batey del Cemí is the name of an area of tropical forest located in the heart of Northwest-Central Puerto Rico, near the Caguana Indian Ceremonial Park. Although it may be slightly lesser known than the larger El Yunque Rainforest, Batey offers the same abundance of natural beauty and adventure. In Batey del Cemí, you can experience the thrill of ziplining near Rincon as you fly over the Tanamá River, explore the natural caves and tunnels on this untouched land and get your adrenaline pumping with a rappel down a 70-foot cliff. For more information, visit our Zipline FAQ’s page & What to Bring Ziplining post >

Staying in Rincon in February. How much time in advance do i need to make reservations?
HI Frank, The eco-tours do fill up, so in February I would try to call about a week in advance, If you are flexible with your days, you can book a couple days in advance. Thanks!
Hello – How far is the zipline tour from isabella? We will be visiting a friend 1/5-9 and would like to do this. Its my brother, sister, and i.Do you have to be physically fit to do it or can anyone do this?
Hi kimberlee – this tour is about an hour and 15 minute drive from Isabela. It is not overly strenuous, although I would suggest being relatively fit. There is a max weight limit of 250 lbs for the zipline and rappelling portion. Feel free to call us anytime to book, we’d be happy to help answer any more questions – 787-632-2889. Thanks!
Hi, we are planning a trip for the end of February. We have 3 adults and one child age 2. Our child is not able to go on the zipline, but would we be able to hike with him around the area? What would the cost be? Thanks
Hi Jared – we sent you more information via email, please be sure to let us know if you have any questions. Thanks!
Hi I am planning on staying in Rincon in March and am interested in both the eco tour and the bioluminescent experience, would doing both in one day be too much? Also what is the easiest way to get there from Rincon if we don’t have a vehicle?
Hi Braidie – we can help you out on both. I would not suggest doing both the eco-tour and bio-bay in one day if you have another opeion. We have had people try and it just ends up being too much driving. It is possible, but if you have two days, it’s best to split them up. We can arrange transportation if needed – the price is daily for a shuttle van. Justin is emailing you this info now and can make your booking for you. Thanks and looking forward to having you guys in Rincon with us!
HI! We are staying in Mayaguez the last week of March…how far is this away? Thanks!
Hi – this is about a 2 hour drive from Mayaguez. Let us know if you would like to book, thanks!
Hi we’ll be staying in Puntas in Rincon for a week in end March-early April. I’m with my 14 year old and 11 year old and we’re interested in Option 1. Would you give us a price quote that includes the shuttle transport in both directions? Thanks!
hi,
I am looking to book a 2pm tour for 5 on Wednesday 4/25. Before I booked I was wondering if one or two people didn’t want to do the ziplining would they still be able to do the rest of the tour. I am only asking because we were hoping to spelunk so I am not sure how everybody feels about ziplining. Please let me know at your earliest convenience, by email. Also let me know if you need a deposit or payment in full now. I am excited to get this booked
Renee
Hi Renee,
If people want to skip certain parts of the tour, that is fine. Most people choose to skip the rappelling (if anything). Justin should be in contact via email or feel free to call us anytime, I know you’ll have a great time!
Hi,
we have 2 adults and 2 kids in our party — the kids are 9 and 5.5 years old. The younger is probably too young for ziplining. Can she still take a tour with us and do the water rafting and the cave? (we are thinking option 2).
Can you advise?
Also, what’s the availablity for Tuesday 17th of April?
Thank you!
Hi Kinga – I know Justin spoke to you about this, but for anyone else with the same question: younger children are able to go on the tour, but skip the ziplining, however the hiking can be long, depending on what cave you go to. For a child that can be in a pack this is usually not a problem, but for a smaller one that can’t be carried, it might be hard. It really depends on the personality and fitness of both the child and the adults in the party. Thanks and I hope you have fun!
Are these activities seasonal? I won’t be in Puerto Rico until December and really want to zip line, I was unable to do it last time and I cannot wait to try it.
Hi Amanda – some of the tours are seasonal, however the zipline runs year-round. You should be able to go next December no problem. Call us about 1 – 2 weeks in advance to secure a booking. Thanks!
We will be staying in Isla Verde the end of August, will you still have tours at this time and how far are you located from there?
Hi – the eco-tours will be running the end of August, unless there happens to be a large storm, but we expect no issues. They are about 1.5 hours drive from San Juan area. Let u s know when you would like to book. thanks!
Hi! Just wondering how far in advance I should book? Planning on going to PR end of October.
Hi Clarissa – this time of year if you just call us at least 3 – 4 days in advance, there should be no problem getting you scheduled. Thanks!
Would you please send me some more info? We will be in Rincon Jan. 15-20, 2013 for my son’s 30th birthday!
I’m interested in the Zipline experience in Nov 24-26. Please let me know if I can make a reservation for it.
I would like to book option one for three people this week… Look forward to hearing from you.
I would like to book option 1 for 7 possibly 8 adults today at 2:00. Please let me know if its available. Thank you.
