Batey del Cemí is the name of an area of tropical forest located in the heart of Northwest-Central Puerto Rico, near the Caguana Indian Ceremonial Park. In Batey del Cemí, you can experience the thrill of ziplining over the Tanamá River, explore the natural caves and tunnels on the land and get your adrenaline pumping with a rappel down a 70-foot cliff.

This tour treats you to a little of everything in one half-day trip. You'll zip six different ziplines (three over the Tanamá River), enjoy 45 minutes of moderate hiking on interpretive paths, rappel down a 70-foot cliff and explore a cave (water or inland, weather dependent).
Tour Time: 9 am or 2 pm
Duration: 4 1/2 hours

Transportation available upon request. Please give yourself at least 1.5 hours driving time if coming from Rincon.

This tour includes a full-day of adventure: exploration of two caves (water or inland, weather dependent), six thrilling ziplines, an hour and a half interpretive jungle hike, 70-foot cliff rappel and an organic, vegetarian lunch.

A Bit o' Trivia
The game of "batey" was played by native Taino Indians in Puerto Rico prior to Spanish settlement. Although little is known about the exact rules of the game, it is professed to be a mix of soccer and jai' alai. Visit the "bateyes" (courts) at the Caguana Indian Ceremonial Park near Batey del Cemi.
