Fresh Seafood & Italian in Aguada PR

New to the dining scene on the water in Aguada Puerto Rico, just North of Rincon, is the beautiful restaurant Mares. Mares is located in the Pico de Piedra neighborhood of Aguada, just across the street from the beach. This unique, modern restaurant brings a little of the Miami South Beach flair to Puerto Rico. Mares features traditional Italian food, including appetizers such as a unique bruscetta on top of fried ravioli and flash fried calamari as well as some of the traditional Puerto Rican favorites such as churrasco skirt steak and kan kan pork chop. All of the pasta dishes feature fresh, handmade pasta and savory sauces. They also have a large selection of meat and fresh seafood entrees including rice dishes and rice stews. Choose any “mares” special entree and you’ll get a plate full of lobster, conch, octopus, shrimp and fish. Enjoy a glass of wine, fresh mojito or a Peroni while you watch the sun set and then top it all off with a homemade tiramisu or creme brulee.
