A Little More About Transportation To Rincon…
Getting around Rincon Puerto Rico is usually best done with a rental car. Renting a car in Puerto Rico is usually an economical choice, and most of the name brand car rental agencies operate out of both major airports (Aguadilla and San Juan). Although Rincon is a relatively small town, the surf spots, dining and nightlife is a bit spread out and if you want to be able to experience most of the local spots, you will want to be able to drive. Although some ‘publicos’ or local buses are operational, the times and stops are not always reliable. If you are a free spirit or traveling alone, this might be just fine, but for families or groups of friends it could pose a problem. If you have part of your group that is arriving later than the rest of your group, an airport shuttle transfer from either Puerto Rico airports can be arranged. Local taxis are available on an on-call basis, but do not patrol the streets like in a large city. If you have an event or special gathering like a wedding, you may want to arrange a local taxi or van to shuttle guests from the wedding or rehearsal dinner location to their hotel or vice versa. Local taxi vans range in size from 7 passenger vans to 50 person buses, so there is certain to be transportation option to satisfy almost any need. If you are only in Rincon for one or two nights, you might want to choose to stay in a more “pedestrian friendly” neighborhood such as Puntas. In the Puntas neighborhood, you can walk to several beaches and a selection of great dining options. For a short stay, a car rental might not be necessary if you are in this area.

ARe you near the cruise ship port? If not, how would I get to you from there and what will it cost? Thanks
Hi Caron, we are not near the cruise ship port, we are on the West coast of the island. If you need transportation from San Juan to the West coast we can arrange that. Otherwise, I would suggest finding a taxi company in San Juan to transport you to and from the cruise ship terminal. Thanks!
